Everyone needs a guaranteed winner in their life. Want to get lucky? These simple beauties will make you the Man of the Morning. Fifteen minutes tops and its back to bed for breakfast. You're welcome brother!
2 each slices Nature's Harvest Whole Grain White Bread
2 each whole shell Eggs
1 each tablespoon Challenge Butter (salted or unsalted)
Salt & Pepper to Taste
2 each slices Valencia Orange
1 each sprig Parsley
Wash your hands with medium hot water and soap. Prep 2 each slices Nature's Harvest Whole Grain White Bread by pinching to create a circular hole in the middle approximately 2 inches wide. Preheat a large skillet on medium heat for 30 seconds. Slice in half 1 each tablespoon Challenge Butter and place each slice in preheated skillet 3 inches apart. Before the butter melts completely place 2 each prepped slices bread in skillet with each slice of butter centered in the hole. When butter melts completely crack 2 each whole shell Eggs and put 1 each egg in each bread hole. Allow to cook 3 to 4 minutes or until the bread is grilled golden brown. Use a turning spatula to flip the egg and grilled bread to cook on other side 3 to 4 minutes. Salt & Pepper to taste. Place on plate then garnish with 2 each slices Valencia Orange and 1 each sprig Parsley,
Cooking this on medium heat is important because a high or medium high heat will cook the bread to quickly before the egg is cooked enough to turn.
I gather with my friends every year in June. On the Friday before Father's Day and we have our annual Scramble Team Golf Tournament (losing team has to BBQ dinner for the rest) in Palm Springs, CA. OE Egg N the Hole is our traditional breakfast of champions curtesy of Good Dad Bad Man.
