AKA Lobster & Snow Crab Surf & Surf. Twenty minute oven steam time a little melted butter and a walk down easy street. Who needs Turf when the Surf is so good. Ladies you'll be holding Aces in your hand with this recipe.
As much as I love fish multiply that by 10 is how much I love shellfish. Ladies Crab & Lobster are the perfect match like you and your man. Take time to learn this recipe and he'll never look at you the same way.
1 each 6 ounce Rock Lobster Tail
2 each large cluster Canadian Snow Crab Legs with Claw
2 each ounces Challenge Butter (salted or unsalted)
2 each wedges Lemon
1 each tablespoon chopped Parsley
Wash your hands with medium hot water and soap. Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Use one large baking pan or two smaller baking pans with at least a 2 inch lip. Place 1 inch deep water in baking pan and place in oven for 20 minutes to heat. Take 1 each 6 ounce Rock Lobster Tail and cut back of shell to crack open. Starting from the tail end use your knife to crack the shell without cutting into the inner meat. Next remove meat from shell and make a cut 1/8 inch deep the length of the tail meat. This will allow you to open to expose the inner layer of tail meat. Place tail back on top of the empty shell fanning out the bottom to help stabilize the shell. Place shell with the meat on top in hot water and bake for 20 minutes. 10 minutes into the Lobster Tail cook time place 2 each large cluster Canadian Snow Crab Legs with Claw into the water in the oven cook for 10 minutes. Turn oven off and carefully remove the lobster and crab legs place on plate. Melt 2 each ounces Challenge Butter and garnish with 2 each wedges Lemon and 1 each tablespoon chopped Parsley.
Make sure you open shell completely before pulling the meat out. It will stick a little but not much and should come out easily.
Once you slice the tail to expose the inner meat place it back on the empty shell. It will piggy back really well.
It really doesn't take much water to make this method work. If you crab legs rest over the edge of the baking pan like above that's no problem. Crab legs cook fast so 10 minutes is more then enough time to heat.
