AKA Loaded Hog Barbarian Pizza. Once you've perfected your own Cheezzy Parmesan Bread style the perfect pizza platform will be at your finger tips. Literally finger licking perfection. This is my forth variation of Barbarian style pizza crafting and its tasty brother.
This is old school teaching a new lesson. The Barbarian Pizza style gives you an opportunity to call the shots with your inner pizza chef. This particular variation has my four favorite toppings combination. This recipe is only for two pieces but you can do the simple math to multiply for any size pizza night.
1 each sliced Francisco International French Sandwich Roll (Cheezzy Parmesan Bread style)
3 each ounces Bertolli Organic Tomato & Basil Sauce
1 each ounce Hunts Tomato Paste
3 ounces each shredded Sargento Artisan Blends Whole Milk Mozzarella
5 each slices Gallo Salame Sliced Pepperoni
2 each cooked slices Farmer John's Thick Sliced Bacon
1/2 each ounce finely diced Red Onion
2 each finely diced medium Mushrooms
Wash your hands with medium hot water and soap. Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Start with 1 each (2 each slices) Francisco International French Sandwich Roll made Cheezzy Parmesan Bread style cooked golden brown. Mix 3 each ounces Bertolli Tomato Basil Sauce and 1 each ounce Hunts Tomato Paste to make the Barbarian Pizza Sauce. Spread 2 each ounces Barbarian Pizza Sauce on each slice of Cheezzy Parmesan Bread. Top each slice with 1 each ounce Sargento Artisan Blend Whole Milk Mozzarella. Start with 1/2 each ounce finely diced Red Onion and 2 each finely diced medium Mushrooms layered equally on both slices. Chop 2 each cooked slices Farmer John's Thick Sliced Bacon to top onions and mushrooms. Chop 5 each slices Gallo Salame Sliced Pepperoni and place a top bacon on each slice of pizza bread. Use the last ounce of shredded mozzarella cheese for the final topping. Place on baking pan (rack optional) and put in preheated oven. Cook 6 to 8 minutes at 475 degrees until cheese is melted or until desired doneness. Turn off oven and carefully remove. Cut each slice in half and serve.
Have Barbarian Pizza Sauce for days. Mix 1 each 24 ounce jar Bertolli Tomato Basil Sauce with 1 each 7 ounce canHunts Tomato Paste. Enough sauce for 14 to 16 slices.
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 1 to 2 depending on portion size
Spread out the Barbarian Pizza Sauce evenly on each slice. Leaving the very edge to the Cheezzy Parmesan Bread free of sauce. Replicate when spreading out shredded mozzarella cheese. Keep in mind when cheese melts it will expand slightly.
In order to give your Barbarian Pizza balance take care in adding the toppings. Avoid clumps of products remember your making a piece of culinary art here.
Use a cutting board or counter top to apply your toppings then transfer to baking pan. I personally prefer working with a pan rack but you can use the flat sheet pan if you like.
If you plan this out before the big game you'll be the MVP whipping out any of my Barbarian variations. The Loaded Hog is a pizza lovers delight.
